at Rocky Point-I swaped the axle, from the ETON, geared at 5:31 to a Rockwell 2:90 -This axle raised my top speed to 75mph from 60 mph, increased fuel mileage from 6.5 mpg to 10 mpg and lowered maximum cruise rpm to 2300 rpm from 2900 rpm - dressed up the drive shaft. Rebuild the Ohio drive and the hub that holds the pulleys, is the axle hub from a late model Ford Maveric ( only in North Carolina would a parts guy share that cost saving information ) anyway that up dated the major componets in the engine compartment. 3208 Caterpillar engine running cool.
